Meeting Minutes 3/16/04

·        Call to order 5:15 pm 

·        Self Introduction  by  Members  Terry Lorber, Don Drescher, Sean Bohman,Bruce Ellsworth, Mark Stock, Sue Davis,Sean Skabo, Harry Smith, Byran Carr, Jan Hale,  David Jones, Alan Hardy, Tom Yestramski, Kelly Dearborn-Luce and June Wallace.

·        New Members- None 

·        Committee Reports

Business Promotion- Business  committee reported on   costs and format for the business directory.  More information to come with anticipated completion August 31, 2004

Membership- Membership committee presented a  letter to be   sent to prospective new members. Any changes contact Sean Bohman.  Letter to be mailed in April 2004.

Town Representation- Committee reported on research in the following areas:     Elected plan/zoning board members

                            Training of plan\zoning board members

                            Review of zoning  relative to new business

                            Need for a building inspector.

Treasurer Report-  The treasures report was read and approved. The CHBA has 22 members and a cash balance of $377.45.

·        Discussion  Items

State Fair- Allan  Hardy Exec. Dir and David Jones Pres. Hop State Fair Association presented an overview of the history, current events and relationship with the local business and town.

Economic Development Committee( David Fellers) - EDC to support us, Provide a seat on the Committee( CHBA currently has 2 members on the EDC) , Suggest a business after hours with  Selectmen / EDC and others.

Business After Hours Committee- Terry Lorber, Sue Davis, Sean Skabo, Allan Hardy to meet to discuss who, when,where, how much.

Members must email and direct June Wallace  for listing and  provide a brief outline  of the  firm for the  web site. junewallace@jwbks.com.  One member firm would be profiled on the web site each month.
