Meeting Minutes 6/08/04

• Call to order 5:15 pm $5.00 snacks/soft drink + tip

• Self introduction Members Sean Bohman, Jan Hale, June Wallace, Sue Leadbeater, Byron Carr, Mark Stock, Harry Smith, Don Drescher, Kelly Dearborn-Luce, and Lee Currier. 

              New Members- Lee Currier (Consolidated Information Services), Marylin Ash-Mower (Curves), Pauline Meridien (Back in the Saddle), Beach Hill Farm, Richard Kirk, Bank of New Hampshire, Reno Design Group, Contoocook Covered Bridge Restaurant and Nichole and Adam Wilson (Connections)  

*        Committee Reports

                     Business Promotion-Business directory- Orders for ads are coming in, we have 8 orders and the back page has been sold. The deadline for submitting orders is June 30^th, 2004. Publication is targeted for the end of July. Any questions may be directed to Jan Hale.

                     Membership- New memberships are still coming in with 9 recent newcomers. Annual dues is due in September, however recent new members renewal will not be due until September of 2005. Also discussed was how to handle members who sold their business and if we should honor the new owners on the old membership, it was agreed that as a sign of goodwill to honor the membership.

                     Town Representation- A copy of the town zoning map has been obtained and the committee is seeking some clarification on what is allowed in certain zones.

                     Treasurer Report- The treasurer's report was read and approved. The balance is $389.55 and we had an expenditure of $62.90 to cover stamps for the Network Night mailing.

*        Discussion Items

                  Networking Night- The response to our "Networking Night" looks to be very successful, at the moment we have at least 45 people attending. Name tags, quest book, membership apps, mission statements and petty cash arrangements have been made and will be in place on the 17^th. Byron Carr has donated print to be raffled off with the proceeds going to CHBA, Thank you, Byron. The tickets $1.00 or six (6) for $5.00.  

As a reminder the "Networking Night" will be held at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds, the entrance is through the "Green Gate" on Kearsarge Ave. Don't forget to bring business cards and any information on what your business has to offer, this is a "Networking Night". Let's have Fun.

             Other- We will be getting a P.O. Box sometime in July it will be more uniform to have all correspondence going to one address. Also we will have W-9's on hand should anyone request them.

               Special Meeting- We will be having a Brochure/State Fair& Highland Games on August 10^th at 5:15 at the Little Diner.
