08/07 Update:

The City will be working on the hills this week to install the concrete "gutters".  This will discourage erosion and direct the flow of water to the stormwater system better.

06/27 Update:
The Contractor will review the issues we brought up and a few other issues we found.  Then they will let us know how they will proceed.  I'll keep you posted as I hear more. They have plans to cement the ditches on the uphill and the downhill to resolve the issue of the gravel washing out with every rain. I was very pleased to hear about this.

05/28 Update:
The contractor's landscaping team for the project is working through our streets to put the finishing touches to them and apply soil and seed.
05/17 Update:
CT Consultants responded to our request to go through the neighborhood to fill the holes left from the dewatering process at the beginning of the project.  Please email chagrinhba@gmail.com your address so we can make sure they have you on their list.  Burton Scot (asphalt company) indicated they would like to be onsite Thursday and Friday of this week to start putting the surface course on:
  • River Drive
  • Galalina Blvd
  • Matoma Blvd
  • Forest Drive
  • Wanaka Blvd
  • Hiawatha Blvd
  • Hillside Drive
This would mean DiGioia would be onsite tomorrow to start taking out aprons.

The sub-contractor will be starting on asphalt driveway aprons first thing in the morning 05/19. This should take about 2-4 hours to complete. They will continue on Friday May 20th with any streets they don’t get to on Thursday.

05/02 Update:
The contractor had hoped to begin paving this week on Wednesday but, due to weather again, it looks like they may have to reschedule the date.

04/14 Update:
The final layer of paving is expected to begin on Monday April 25th.  It should take them about three days.
04/04 Update:
The contractor arrived on Monday (04/04) as planned.  They are working on breaking up the road where the man holes go.  After they place the manhole they fill the gap with concrete.  This will be covered up when the final layer of asphalt goes down.  They have about 70 of these to complete, which will take them a week to complete.
03/30 Update:
The contractor is indicating they may be onsite Friday (04/01) or definitely on Monday (04/04) to begin the final phase of our road paving
12/19 Update:
All the concrete dirveway repairs have been completed.  There is a final layer of asphalt that will need to go down in the spring.

Landscaping and project closeout will restart once the final layer of asphalt goes in.  We don't have a projected start date for the springtime at this moment.
11/11 Update:
They have been backing up the roadway and lowering some of the yard drains.

Today working on Sanitary adjustments. No work on Friday. Concrete aprons are next week.
10/20: Paving Has Commenced!!
The plan is that they will do the outside circle (River, Galalina, Forest) then come and work the interior (Matoma, Wacoka and Wanaka) and finish with Hillside and Hiawatha. What you see in the photos is the base coat, there will be more to come.
10/06 UPDATE: Tony spoke with Burton Scot Paving this morning and they have us on the schedule to begin on Friday October 15th.  Base and intermediate layers along with driveways WILL be completed this year.

09/28 UPDATE: Mayor Dennis Morley met with the owner of the contractors company today and sent us this update:

"We met today and should have a paving schedule by weeks end. There has been leak issues holding up the paving."

We will forward and post information as soon as we know more details.  Thank you for you enduring and extended patience!
